Karen Hayes and her team at the Community Pool are now managing memberships for lane swimming. ‘Community Swim’ membership can now be ordered online (or paid by cheque). Just read below to find out how it works. It’s a great system and you can now join monthly, which we know will be good news for many of you.

To arrange payment online, please send a message via the contact form on this website. saying  “Yes” and our Membership Secretary, Tom Atkinson will send the Community Pool your details so they can put you on their system in preparation.

They will then send you a link to the GoCardless Ltd website for you to add your card details.  It can be used to pay one off payments or a direct debit can be arranged.

How it works and details of the fees

Here are the rates

Recreational swimming rates will be:

£30/month full membership
– £25/month WFC staff
– £15/month WFC students

£20/month either women only or men only sessions
– £17.50/month WFC staff
– £10/ month WFC students

Note: men/women only sessions require extra payment

Existing Members

The Community Pool will invoice each member directly from their accounting system. The invoice will have a button on allowing you to pay directly from your bank account; they will also send out automatic emails to request authorisation to direct debit the money in subsequent months. If people want to continue to pay by cheque or use bank transfer monthly manually they can do so but they will be responsible for paying on time.

If there are any teething problems, please bear with us but the system has performed well in trials. We believe that this system work well for the many happy years ahead swimming at the Community Pool at Waltham Forest College. Thanks for your support.
