New payment arrangements have started

The Summer is here and with it new arrangements for how members pay for their swims. From Saturday 26th May, the Community Pool, will manage membership and bookings directly. There will be no need to be a member of Friends of the Pool. Check out instructions for joining and renewing on the membership page. A new website will be ready very soon providing a gateway to all the many things on offer from the Community Pool, including swimming lessons, sports training sessions, Aqua Zumba and synchronised swimming with Aquavision. If you joined Friends of the Pool for public lane swimming keep an eye on your inbox for emails from Tom Atkinson, our membership secretary who will keep you in the picture. Spring (term) is here!

Our Spring term runs from  Saturday 17th March and finishes on Friday 25th May 2012.  If you want to become a member, our membership page explains how simple it is. If you are already a member, just click here to renew for a term online. Details follow soon on how to join on a pro-rata basis week by week during the term. And it’s still the same great value.

After over £100,000 of work to modernise our  70 year-old pool, we opened on schedule on Saturday 8th October 2011. Well done Karen, Claire Timbrell, our pool manager, with Tom and Jean Atkinson, Richard Dunkling and the team who’ve been working so hard to get the pool ready. So as you carve the water before you, look around and marvel at what we can all do together. Wow!

These are the swimming slots we are running for the SpringTerm.

Mornings: Weds 7-8am/ Sat 9-10am
Lunchtime:   Fri 12-1pm/ Sat 12-1pm (shared)
Evening: Mon 7-8pm/ Thurs 7-9pm (shared)
Afternoon: Weds 2-3.30pm (shared)

The cost is £75.
